Breakthrough Out-Reach attemptNo. of comments:0 Umapathi Prasanna, Davanagere, 108040 On 17-Aug-2017Indeed, I personally believe a LOT in educating & creating the awareness in the minds of the public; about importance of financial planning, savings, investments, effect of inflation, tax efficiency, liquidity, etc.
I always searched for such opportunities in a tiny Market like Davanagere where there is a huge opportunity is still lying in this market to make some dramatic moves & market entries. The public here are mostly FD savvy out of which a huge chunk belongs to the retired employees and I was seriously searching for an opportunity to reach out to that target group alongwith the other groups like working class at large, young professionals, doctors, etc. I had continuously placed my efforts in place by conducting the most effective Investor Awareness Programs and interaction sessions. So far I had reached out to more than 3,000+ individuals across all walks of life through my flagship financial planning education program "LIFE-360".
I had conducted 62 such programs in last 22 months since I had started the profession.
However, this time I came up with an unique initiative when I had come to know that there is going to be a Life Style Exhibition which will commence from August 11th & I had immediately contacted the organizer asking for some space for us too.
It all started when we were allotted a good space by the organizer as we made him to understand the importance or the reason behind why I needed the space. Now the exhibition is on & I came up with a revolutionary idea of conducting the QUIZ - exclusively about money & money management. The Quiz is well designed with more than 600 questions with 4 multiple choices for the public to answer.
Now this QUIZ has become a crowd puller for us & the exhibition is on for 10 days and will wind off by 20th August.
Till this moment, 900+ people have visited our stall and 200+ have made efforts to answer the QUIZ questions.
We allotted only 5 questions for each participant and after the Quiz is over, 90% of the people realised that they had really not understood the money properly & now every serious brain is behind me asking for a scientific advise and also to review their existing investments.
Even I had distributed a 1-page Kannada (local language) letter to all the visitors which depicted the importance of advisor in life with small illustrations. This 1-page letter has become my marketing manager.
My sincere advice to all my fellow IFA friends & fraternity is to drill holes into the brains of the people; just to make them realise the importance of an advisor in their life. Once this job is done perfectly, the fellow public will be behind your life & Your life is on....
Yes, it was an unique & revolutionary idea......we planned it.....we achieved it.....
