It took so much time to this gentleman to realise this. Simply put the upfront commissions are bad for investors. But Mr Brijesh never seems to have acknowledged that nor vouched for that. Suddenly this ppf / elss lecture is out of the blue.
Very nicely summed up. In fact, best way to advise a client is to not to look at the commission structure of AMCs. I personally follow this policy.
Well said and very true. As distributors ( or advisors) we should not forget or sideline the basic tenets of good investment and give due respect to asset allocation. PPF has been a big plus and may continue to be even after the fall in interest rates as it is a govt scheme. It has to be given due respect for the wealth it has created over so many years even though we do not get any commission on it now as postal agents.
