Wealth Forum launched its inaugural edition of the Wealth Forum AMC Awards in December 2010. For far too long, AMCs have been recognising and applauding the best performers among distributors and advisors. Isn't it time that the same distribution partners get together and recognise and applaud the best of breed within their AMC partners, across different categories? Does asset management only mean fund performance? Aren't there other facets of an AMC business that deserve recognition - like customer service, distributor training, business ethics etc? It is these simple thoughts that drove us to institute the Wealth Forum AMC Awards 2010.
The awards were decided and presented by members of the Wealth Forum Platinum Circle - who represent the eiite of India's advisory and distribution community. Nomination requests were sent to 130 key distribution and advisory firms across channels - banks, NDs, RDs and IFAs. 103 completed nomination forms came in - from all channels : clearly, the distribution fraternity is enthused by the idea of recognising the best in class among their AMC partners.
We asked distribution and advisory firms to nominate their top 3 on each of the following 14 categories :
1. Best Equity Fund
2. Best Balanced Fund
3. Best MIP
4. Best Income/Gilt Fund
5. Best Fund Manager - Equity

9. Best Fund House - Debt
